WORK: Assistant Property Superintendent (Commercial)

We are seeking an Assistant Superintendent to join our Upper Oakville Shopping Centre team, providing property management and maintenance support to the shopping centre. This role is responsible for ensuring efficient property management operations, coordinating repairs and maintenance, and supporting administrative processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintenance Coordination:

o Perform landscaping work, garbage removal and general maintenance as required (tasks to include painting, unclogging drains and repairing minor leaks, replacing lightbulbs, diagnosing electrical or mechanical issues);

o Maintain the shopping centre in a good state of repair and attractive to the public;

o Help manage service contracts, including roofing, snow removal, and HVAC to ensure quality service and timely repairs;

o Proactively identify potential issues and take preventive measures to mitigate risks;

o Monitor tenant/landlord renovations.

• Customer Service, Community & Communication:

o Develop and maintain good relationships with staff, tenants and the community;

o Provide exceptional customer service and follow up on repair quality;

o Able to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications/Work Environment:

• 3+ years of experience in property administration, maintenance coordination, or building management. Skilled trade experience is an asset.

• Excellent people, organization, and problem-solving skills;

• Ability to thrive in dynamic and time-sensitive situations;

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary: $50,000 - $60,000 per year
