Canada Summer Jobs 2022 & UCC Info Session

It was announced this week that applications are now being accepted for the Canada Summer Jobs program.

Program information is online by clicking the link below: www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/services/funding/canada-summer-jobs.html

This is an excellent program for organizations needing to work on projects such as websites, archives and all those other things we all never have time for.

Young people (don't have to be students) are hired and paid by your organization. Government reimburses you the minimum wage cost, sometimes you'll need to pay them slightly more on top of that to attract qualified candidates.

The application process can be somewhat intimidating, so UCC will be doing a general information session on January 11th.

UCC Info Session on Canada Summer Jobs

I would also encourage you to read their eligibility criteria closely. Also note that final selection of eligible organizations and projects is partially screened by your local Member of Parliament in whose riding the project address is located.
