Celebrating 57th Wedding Anniversary - Tamara and Victor Koszarny
TAMARA AND VICTOR KOSZARNY CELEBRATED THEIR 57TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY ON AUGUST 28TH, 2022
Victor and Tamara met, fell in love and married in London, Ontario on August 28th, 1965. Tamara, daughter of Fedir and Akylyna Podopryhora was a primary school teacher, while Victor, son of Olena and Hryhory Koszarny was a graduate chemical engineer and an MBA. Shortly thereafter, their twin daughters Lenna and Katherine were born in London followed some years later by their son, Victor Mykola.
They led an adventurous life as Victor's work in the Pulp and Paper Industry (17 years in total) took them to many towns in Northern Ontario. Victor then left for a private electrical distribution products company in Etobicoke and worked for them for 15 years. Tamara taught in the primary school system in Northern Ontario and London before the twins were born, but settled in as a stay-at- home Mom to raise their children.
In 2000, their life took a sharp turn with Victor taking a position with EBS, a consulting management company founded by Lenna, Katherine and her husband John Vellinga as well as an Ukrainian Partner in Kyiv, Ukraine. Tamara followed in 2001. In total, they spent 9 years in Kyiv returning in December, 2008 to Oakville, Ontario.
Tamara and Victor have been lifelong members of the Ukrainian Church of Canada starting in London, Thunder Bay, Brantford, Sault Ste. Marie and of course, St. Volodymyr Cathedral of Toronto. Victor served as a member of the Church Council and as its President, as well as a Trustee and on the board of directors for St. Volodymyr Ukrainian Cultural Centre in Oakville. Tamara was a member of the Church Council in various positions and also member of UWAC Kn. Olha branch in Toronto also in various positions.
Currently living in Toronto, they have three married children - daughter Lenna Koszarny and Andrius Nemickas, children Naomi and Felix; daughter Katherine and John Vellinga, Cassandra and Johnny; son Victor Mykola and Maria Koszarny, Levko, Sofiyka and Stefko. They are eternally grateful for their wonderful family.
