Food Basket: October Update & Kontakt Feature Coming Soon!
We are very happy to announce that with the 10th month-anniversary of the program, we are now serving over 150* newcomer families through our Food Basket program in the Halton region! The Kontakt TV program visited us near the end of September and will be airing a special feature on the project in a few weeks, so stay tuned!
We would like to acknowledge the efforts of our over 30+ volunteers, including several high school students, who help make it happen, and our inspiring leader - John Holuk. Enjoy some photos from September of the hard-working volunteers bagging the fresh ingredients and produce!

*this 150 includes the most recent wave of newcomer families which have arrived. But it’s also important to note that many of the families that were using the program earlier have also “graduated,” which we celebrate. It is wonderful to be able to help, and see, newcomer families establish themselves here.
