New Vigil Lamps Blessed (Cathedral)
To properly showcase the new icons that have been written by Oleksiy Mezentsev, they will be installed in the alcoves (“porches”) near the altar with vigil lamps hung above them, as well as encased in museum-grade shadow-box frames to maintain them for centuries to come. These vigil lamps were blessed into use at the Great Vespers of Transfiguration on Friday, August 18, 2023.
