Newcomers PICNIC 2022
The Volodymyr Cathedral Hearts4Ukraine, Newcomers PICNIC at the Cultural Centre was a huge success, with a wonderful turnout of more than 300 people - 150 newcomers - and ideal weather! We hope you had a great time.
Thank you to all who attended and to those amazing people who helped - it would not have come together without all the volunteers who helped. We are a dynamic Parish because of you.
Our volunteers: Vince Adamec, Valentyna Budrevych, Volodymyr Budrevych, Taras Cord, John Nestor, Franko Diakowsky, Michailo Gritsak, Olha Adamec & Tamara Koszarny, Victor Koszarny, West Shipowick, Jaroslav Zemlyckyj, Oleh Vodoviz, Tanya Vodoviz and Dean Prather for organizing the Children’s Corner - field games and keepsake stone-painting.
Children visited the fire truck and police car for tours and demonstrations, courtesy of the Oakville Fire Department and Oakville Police Department, and jumped right in to experience the bouncy castle. The ice cream truck and treats were a perfect complement to the warm summer weather.
A special thanks to Oksana Boutchma and Ruslana Magar who went above and beyond.
Thank you to Hanusia Romaniuk, Troyanda Catering, Halyna Ksenych and to everyone who brought delicious side dishes and desserts to share!
It was a great way to start summer - with friends!
