Our Parish Has Changed to the Revised Julian Calendar
December 2, 2023 ADDear parishioners and guests,
With the blessing of His Eminence Metropolitan ILARION, Archbishop of Winnipeg and the Central Eparchy, Primate of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada, in accordance with his Primatial Encyclical of December 1, 2023 - Decision regarding the adoption of the Revised Julian calendar by the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of Canada and with the unanimous support of the parish council of St. Volodymyr Cathedral of Toronto; St. Volodymyr Cathedral of Toronto will transition to the Revised Julian calendar as of December 20, 2023 AD.
Consistent with this announcement, the Clergy and Council members of St Volodymyr Cathedral of Toronto will work together to ensure a smooth transition to the new calendar. An updated schedule of services, including the celebration of Christmas on December 25th, will be provided in the coming days.
