Passia & Lenten Supper 2025 (Photos)
Each year, Passia takes place on Sundays during Lent, hosted by a different parish within our deanery. On Sunday, March 16, 2025, St. Volodymyr Cathedral welcomed the Passia, led by an esteemed group of clergy: Fr. Petro Tsenov, Fr. Vasyl Fediv, Fr. Volodymyr Kaspryk, Fr. Vitaliy Humeniuk, and Fr. Vasyl Kobrii.
Additionally, Father Jaroslaw Buciora contributed to the service, enriching the experience for all in attendance.
Following the service, parishioners and guests came together to share a special Lenten meal, fostering a sense of community and fellowship.
The Passia service is an adapted version of Vespers, featuring a unique Gospel account of Christ's passion each week, allowing us to reflect on the profound suffering of our Lord. In our Canadian Church, it has become customary to rotate these services among the various parishes, creating opportunities for parishioners to connect with fellow members of the city’s faith community.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who participated in this sacred event, and a special thank you to our dedicated volunteers whose efforts made this gathering possible.

Кожного року Чин Пассії проводиться щонеділі Великого посту у іншій парафії нашого деканату. У неділю, 16-го березня 2025, Пассія пройшла у катедрі св. Володимира. Чин Пассії відслужили: о. Петро Ценов, о. Василь Федів, о. Володимир Касприк, о. Віталій Гуменюк та о. Василь Кобрій.
Отець Ярослав Буцьора також приймав участь у літургії.
Після служби парафіяни та гості зібралися на спеціальну пісну трапезу.
Чин Пасcії - це адаптована версія вечірні щотижня містить іншу євангельську розповідь про страсті Христові, щоб вшанувати пам'ять про божественні страждання нашого Господа. У нашій канадській церкві існує практика ротації богослужінь між парафіями міста, щоб парафіяни з різних громад мали можливість поєднатися у спільній молитві.
