We Need your Help!

Over 300 newcomers have started to arrive at Toronto Pearson Airport every day adding to a very challenging housing situation in the city. They will need our help as they begin the process of settling in our communities!

We are looking for volunteers to help coordinate the many events we are planning in support of these families fleeing the brutal war in Ukraine.

Join our Newcomer Support Network to welcome newcomers, many of them mothers with children, as they adjust to life in Canada.

Open your home and Host Newcomers who may require emergency short term shelter or longer-term accommodation until they find a job or a place of their own.

Let us know how you can help by completing our I WANT TO HELP form - https://form.jotform.com/svct/volunteer_form

· Provide transport and assistance so they can register for OHIP or their SIN numbers and take them to appointments or even shopping

· Look for opportunities for the children to meet others and make friends

Open your Home to a family in need

Finding accommodation in the GTA is extremely challenging and many of the promised government programs to assist newcomers are not in place yet. There is an urgent need for accommodation, ranging from emergency stays of up to a week to longer term accommodation so newcomers are able find jobs and a place of their own. If you can open your homes to the newcomers or if you have a business that is able to provide accommodation, please let us know.
