Epistle reading from The Epistle [letter] of
St. Paul the Apostle to the Romans 10:1-10
Rom 10:1
Brothers, my heart's desire and prayer to God for them is that they may be saved.
Rom 10:2
I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge.
Rom 10:3
For, being ignorant of the righteousness that comes from God, and seeking to establish their own, they did not submit to God's righteousness.
Rom 10:4
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes.
Rom 10:5
For Moses writes about the righteousness that is based on the law, that the person who does the commandments shall live by them.
Rom 10:6
But the righteousness based on faith says, "Do not say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?'" (that is, to bring Christ down)
Rom 10:7
or "'Who will descend into the abyss?'" (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead).
Rom 10:8
But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart" (that is, the word of faith that we proclaim);
Rom 10:9
because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
Rom 10:10
For with the heart one believes and is justified, and with the mouth one confesses and is saved.

св. апостола Павла до Римлян 10:1-10
Рим 10:1
Браття, бажання мого серця й молитва до Бога за Ізраїля на спасіння.
Рим 10:2
Бо я свідчу їм, що вони мають ревність про Бога, але не за розумом.
Рим 10:3
Вони бо, не розуміючи праведности Божої, і силкуючись поставити власну праведність, не покорились праведності Божій.
Рим 10:4
Бо кінець Закону Христос на праведність кожному, хто вірує.
Рим 10:5
Мойсей бо пише про праведність, що від Закону, що людина, яка його виконує, буде ним жити.
Рим 10:6
А про праведність, що від віри, говорить так: Не кажи в своїм серці: Хто вийде на небо? цебто звести додолу Христа,
Рим 10:7
або: Хто зійде в безодню? цебто вивести з мертвих Христа.
Рим 10:8
Але що каже ще? Близько тебе слово, в устах твоїх і в серці твоїм, цебто слово віри, що його проповідуємо.
Рим 10:9
Бо коли ти устами своїми визнаватимеш Ісуса за Господа, і будеш вірувати в своїм серці, що Бог воскресив Його з мертвих, то спасешся,
Рим 10:10
бо серцем віруємо для праведности, а устами ісповідуємо для спасіння.

The Gospel of Saint Matthew the Apostle 8:28-9:1
Mat 8:28
And when He had come to the other side into the country of the Gergesenes, two demon-possessed ones met Him, coming out of the tombs, exceedingly fierce, so that no one might pass by that way.
Mat 8:29
And behold, they cried out, saying, What have we to do with You, Jesus, Son of God? Have You come here to torment us before the time?
Mat 8:30
And there was a good way off from them a herd of many swine, feeding.
Mat 8:31
And the demons begged Him, saying, If You cast us out, allow us to go away into the herd of swine.
Mat 8:32
And He said to them, Go! And when they had come out, they went into the herd of swine. And behold, the whole herd of swine ran violently down a steep place into the sea and perished in the waters.
Mat 8:33
And those who fed them fled. And going into the city, they told everything, and what had happened to the ones who had been possessed of demons.

And behold, the whole city came out to meet Jesus. And when they saw Him, they begged that He would depart out of their borders.
Mat 9:1
And He entered into a boat, and passed over, and came to His own city

Одного разу, як переплив Ісус на той бік, в землю Гергесинську, то зустріли Його два біснуватих, що вийшли з гробовищ, такі люті, що ніхто не важивсь проходити тією дорогою.
Мт 8:29
І от закричали вони, кажучи: що Тобі до нас, Ісусе, Сину Божий? Прийшов сюди заздалегідь нас мучити.
Мт 8:30
Оддалік ж від них паслось велике стадо свиней.
Мт 8:31
І біси прохали Його, кажучи: коли Ти виженеш нас, то звели нам іти в стадо свиней.
Мт 8:32
І сказав їм: ідіть. І вони, вийшовши, увійшли в стадо свиней. І ось зараз усе стадо кинулось з кручі в море й потонуло у воді.
Мт 8:33
А пастухи повтікали і, прибігши в місто, розказали про все й про біснуватих.
Мт 8:34
І ось усе місто вийшло назустріч Ісусові, і побачивши Його, прохали, щоб Він одійшов від їх околиць.
Мт 9:1
І ввійшовши в човен, Він переплив і прибув у Своє місто.
