Be watchful, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong.

Now I urge you, brothers--you know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and that they have devoted themselves to the service of the saints--

be subject to such as these, and to every fellow worker and labourer.

I rejoice at the coming of Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus, because they have made up for your absence,
1Co 16:18
for they refreshed my spirit as well as yours. Give recognition to such men.
1Co 16:19
The churches of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Prisca, together with the church in their house, send you hearty greetings in the Lord.
1Co 16:20
All the brothers send you greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss.
1Co 16:21
I, Paul, write this greeting with my own hand.

If anyone has no love for the Lord, let him be accursed. Our Lord, come!

Благаю ж вас, браття, знаєте ви дім Степанів, що в Ахаї він первісток, і що службі святим присвятились вони,

і ви підкоряйтесь таким, також кожному, хто помагає та працює.

Я тішусь з приходу Степана, і Фортуната, і Ахаїка, бо вашу відсутність вони заступили,

a reading from The Epistle [letter]
of Saint Paul the Apostle to Hebrews 2:2-10
Heb 2:2
For if the word spoken by angels was steadfast, and if every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense of reward,
Heb 2:3
how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by those who heard Him;
Heb 2:4
God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with different kinds of miracles and gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to His own will?
Heb 2:5
For He has not put in subjection to the angels the world to come, of which we speak.
Heb 2:6
But one testified in a certain place, saying, "What is man, that You are mindful of him; or the son of man, that You visit him?
Heb 2:7
You have made him a little lower than the angels. You crowned him with glory and honour and set him over the works of Your hands.
Heb 2:8
You subjected all things under his feet. For in subjecting all things to Him, He did not leave anything not subjected to Him. But now we do not see all things having been subjected to him.
Heb 2:9
But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honor, that He by the grace of God should taste death for all.
Heb 2:10
For it became Him, for whom are all things and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons into glory, to perfect the Captain of their salvation through sufferings.

Коли бо те слово, що сказали його Анголи, було певне, а всякий переступ та непослух прийняли справедливу заплату,
Євр 2:3
то як ми втечемо, коли ми не дбали про таке велике спасіння? Воно проповідувалося спочатку від Господа, ствердилося нам через тих, хто почув,
Євр 2:4
коли Бог був засвідчив ознаками й чудами, і різними силами та обдаруванням Духом Святим із волі Своєї.
Євр 2:5
Бо Він не піддав Анголам світ майбутній, що про нього говоримо.
Євр 2:6
Але хтось десь засвідчив був, кажучи: Що є чоловік, що Ти пам'ятаєш про нього, і син людський, якого відвідуєш?
Євр 2:7
Ти його вчинив мало меншим від Анголів, і честю й величністю Ти вінчаєш його, і поставив його над ділами рук Своїх,
Євр 2:8
усе піддав Ти під ноги йому! А коли Він піддав йому все, то не залишив нічого йому непідданого. А тепер ще не бачимо, щоб піддане було йому все.
Євр 2:9
Але бачимо Ісуса, мало чим уменшеним від Анголів, що за перетерплення смерти Він увінчаний честю й величністю, щоб за благодаттю Божою смерть скуштувати за всіх.
Євр 2:10
Бо належало, щоб Той, що все ради Нього й усе від Нього, Хто до слави привів багато синів, Провідника їхнього спасіння вчинив досконалим через страждання.
A reading of Holy Scripture from The Gospel of
Saint Matthew the Apostle 21:33-42
Mat 21:33
Hear another parable. There was a master of a house who planted a vineyard and put a fence around it and dug a winepress in it and built a tower and leased it to tenants, and went into another country.
Mat 21:34
When the season for fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the tenants to get his fruit.
Mat 21:35
And the tenants took his servants and beat one, killed another, and stoned another.
Mat 21:36
Again he sent other servants, more than the first. And they did the same to them.
Mat 21:37
Finally, he sent his son to them, saying, 'They will respect my son.'
Mat 21:38
But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, 'This is the heir. Come, let us kill him and have his inheritance.'
Mat 21:39
And they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.
Mat 21:40
When therefore the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?"
Mat 21:41
They said to Him, "He will put those wretches to a miserable death and let out the vineyard to other tenants who will give him the fruits in their seasons."
Mat 21:42
Jesus said to them, "Have you never read in the Scriptures: "'The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; this was the Lord's doing, and it is marvellous in our eyes'?

Сказав Господь притчу оцю: був собі один чоловік господар, і насадив виноградник, обгородив його тином, і викопав у йому витоку, збудував башту, і віддав його виноградарям та й від’їхав.

Коли ж наблизилась пора овочу, він послав слуг своїх до виноградарів забрати свій овоч.
Мт 21:35
А виноградарі, захопивши слуг його, іншого побили, іншого вбили, а іншого камінням закидали.
Мт 21:36
Знов послав він вже інших слуг, більше, ніж перше; вони й з ними те ж зробили.
Мт 21:37
На останок же послав до них сина свого, кажучи: посоромляться сина мого.
Мт 21:38
А виноградарі, уздрівши сина, сказали самі собі: це наслідник; ходім, уб’ємо його та й заберемо наслідство його.
Мт 21:39
І вони взяли, вивело його з виноградника, і вбили.
Мт 21:40
А коли прийде господар виноградника, то що зробить він виноградарям тим?
Мт 21:41
Йому кажуть: лютих люто погубить, і виноградник оддасть іншим виноградарям, що віддаватимуть йому овоч у свою пору.
Мт 21:42
Ісус їм каже: чи вже ж ніколи не читали ви в Писанії: Камінь, що занедбали будівничі, той став наріжним каменем. Від Господа те сталось, і дивне воно в очах наших.

Luk 10:16
The one hearing you hears Me, and he who despises you despises Me; he who rejects you also rejects Him who sent Me.
Luk 10:17
And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the demons are subject to us through Your name.
Luk 10:18
And He said to them, I saw Satan fall from Heaven like lightning.
Luk 10:19
Behold, I give to you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and overall the authority of the enemy. And nothing shall by any means hurt you.
Luk 10:20
Yet do not rejoice in this, that the evil spirits are subject to you, rather rejoice because your names are written in Heaven.
Luk 10:21
In that hour Jesus rejoiced in Spirit and said, I thank You, Father, Lord of Heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the sophisticated and cunning, and have revealed them to babes. Yes, Father, for so it was pleasing before You.

Та не тіштеся тим, що вам коряться духи, але тіштесь, що ваші ймення записані в небі!

Того часу Ісус звеселився був Духом Святим і промовив: Прославляю Тебе, Отче, Господи неба й землі, що втаїв Ти оце від премудрих і розумних, та його немовлятам відкрив. Так, Отче, бо Тобі так було до вподоби!
